FINISHED!!! finally :3
So this is the final piece and i am really happy with how it came out! The ocean took me the longest i think. >< i was looking as pictures to get ideas, and took glances at tutorials and stuff to make sure i would get it right, then i practiced on another page. How did i do? Other than that, i have to say that i think this piece was a success ^^ What do you guys think?? i don't mind constructive criticism! about it... It's Janista holding her hand out to her husband, ready to go swimming! She does love the beach. ^^ oh! and if you notice, there's a repeated number in this picture. :3 and for a good reason too. Art and character (c) to me, thanks! EDIT: idk whyyyy but it 's sooo light! >< my scanner cut out so many details! >< i've edited it a few times. looks a little better now... Comments
Just a little constructive criticism for ya: Foreshortening can be a real pain. I know it is for me, and I still need to work on it myself, but for some reason, the space between the from had to the body, and the body to the back hand doesn't seem deep enough for some reason. The on in back could be a bit more shaded to increase depth, and the hand in front could have been a little bigger. I know I have a hard time with it, and with a little practice, it'll get easier.
Other than that, this looks great. I love her expression, and the anatomy looks really good. Just a little work on foreshortening is all that's needed. It can be a real bitch sometimes XD Overall, this is a really good drawing. Keep up the good work. -- OMNIart ComiX - [link] Commission Details - [link] My Prints - [link] it could also be my scanner.. it looks better irl and not so bright and obnoxious like my scanner made it. i'm usually pretty good at foreshortening. but i know what you mean. *sighs* better luck next time i guess... T^T
thank you for the crit and i'll make sure to work on it. :3 -- Check out my gallery please? [link] ~To each their own.~ It's really good! Your anatomy is great, the shading is good (the nose in particular is my favourite shaded part!) and the composition on the diagonal is very interesting. I agree about the foreshortening but that's down to your shading style. Foreshortening needs a lot of light and shadow to look right. I know cause I had a problem with a foreshortened pic I had to colour in with light colours. So all in all a great pic
-- A- I'll give you a rock on the head then do what i want to you B- I always knew you were a neanderthal. But you're worse! You don't even have tools yet! lol really? i though i stunk on shading noses X3 thank you!
usually i shade really really intensely. i was trying something new. i'll remember that, thank you ^^ -- Check out my gallery please? [link] ~To each their own.~ Wow you really did a good job. I like her pose btw! ^.^

As for the constructive aspect of this, I think you could have made the clouds a bit more visible by making them slightly bigger so that they are easier to see in the sky. I know foreshortening is hard, but I think it would look a little more dynamic if her forearm was a little bigger than the rest of her upper arm to match the hand's proportion
Good work with this piece! Keep it up!
